Spanish Language & Culture for Healthcare Providers
Designed by a bilingual Registered Nurse, this series of 10-week courses provides:
- A standardized curriculum including Spanish grammar, vocabulary and usage
- Lessons about Hispanic cultural influences, all taught within a healthcare context
- An emphasis on conversational and critical thinking skills
Through our unique curriculum and tailored activities, all courses are equally effective for:
- Beginning students who have no previous Spanish language acquisition experience, and
- Students who have previously learned Spanish and wish to practice their conversation skills or learn medical terminology and usage.
Our experienced language teachers have a proven ability to effectively engage adult learners.
Students leave each class with concepts and vocabulary that they can begin utilizing immediately with Spanish-speaking patients or fellow classmates. They learn to design phrases and scripts, so that the
course content will be applicable to each individual, regardless of role or practice area (inpatient or outpatient/community).
Custom-designed workbooks and audio CDs contain all vocabulary, grammar, culture and activities covered in each course.
